Speed runners can beat some games in the blink of an eye, so what?, if after a minute of constantly slashing at a boss he isn't even half dead I am just bored frankly, and my tactical options are "get a damage buff, get another *tiny* damage buff, get a tiny defence buff that may allow you to take one extra hit.maybe" Well the boss does more than half my health bar when he hits me, so I die when he hits me a second time, even if I have healed I'm still dead in two hits unless I somehow heal to full health.Īnd it takes so long for my dodges to recharge it seems like they are only useful for absolute last ditch dodging, given most of the boss attacks are three hit combo's you need to just stay outside his attack range so you can avoid the attacks with regular movement or you'd end up using all three dodges instantly and then being stuck unable to use them at all for an age. I won't post any spoilers but if you want an early advantage:Ī) you can obtain two powerful items as soon as before killing a 4th bossī) killing Hyem as soon as possible (preferably as the 4th boss) allows you to obtain a third item You can explore, gain items and kill the rest of the bosses in any order you want. If you keep away from him (instead of staying on the offensive while perfect dodging or tanking in counter style) and use nothing but the quick attack, then it's on you. The Guardian is the first boss, you don't have any items or skill points yet but even at this point of the game you can dispatch him rather quickly (I've seen speedrunners ending the fight in around 45s). How can you die in two hits when you have the ability to heal yourself with each attack while in bloodlust? You're able to both dish out a lot of damage and take a lot of damage so I don't know what you're talking about.
